Graduation

Here's what I've been up to recently - graduation announcements! My youngest graduates this year and I've put off getting these together until almost the last minute. So here's what we're doing.

This is a 5 1/2 x 7 3/4 announcement. I'll show you how it opens -

The belly band slides off and the Real Red/photo lifts up -

The 2012 and inside are done in My Digital Studio. (I still need to add the open house info.) The tassel is rolled Real Red card stock that is cut at the ends.

Circle Circus

This is a card that I cased from a swap way back when - and then forgot to show you! I kept the colors and basic layout and just changed some of the details. Circle Circus is staying and Happiest Birthday Wishes is a hostess set- but if you want the lace border punch - you had better hop on over to the retiring accessories list and grab it before it's gone

I want to share some cards that were made by two of my friends on my team. The first one was made by Anne Van Willigen.

She used Furry Folks and Pocketful of Posies DSP! (retiring!) The next card was made by Martha Hahn.

She used Happiest Birthday Wishes and Twitterpatted DSP. (Also retiring!) Aren't these great cards?

Crazy...That It's Retiring

I have a folder on my computer called "New Folder" (ha!) that holds all the cards that I haven't shown you yet. It is quickly becoming "Old Folder" and I'm going to try to get them up here before they're all retired. Crazy for Cupcakes is one of my favorites. This card was featured in my Birthday Quick Card class using the Sweet Shop DSP - hurry, hurry - it's going too!

Watercolor Pillows

This idea was shown in this month's Stampin Success - a demo maganzine that is one of the best things about being a demo! It's made with watercolor paper (why didn't I think of that?) and I stamped over with Field Flowers.

I found a cute template on splitcoast in Anything BUT a card - and it's a card! You can find the template here. Everything on this card is staying - except the colors!

Big Shot Metal

At our team meeting this weekend we made garden stakes with metal decorations made with the Big Shot. Everyone made what they wanted - but we agreed that Ann's was the most creative.

Extreme Word Play

I was inspired to create this card from one done by Kris McIntosh. I chose to use Basic Black as a contrast to my colors. The colors all came from the Color Coach - pairings for Poppy Parade! The globe is filled with Crystal Effects - can you see it? This is a 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 square card. (The smaller Whisper White squares are 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 and the center square is 3 x 3.)

Mouthwatering in French

This card is cased from a card Mary Brown did - except for the sentiment. I needed something is french and since my stamps are limited in french - I had to match an idea with what I had. This is (loosely) translated as "Just for you so you don't have to share."

Treat Cup Flower

Cristena did a shaker card using the foam shaker frames that I thought was so cute- but all I had were Treat Cups. So I did a little fiddling and voila! Here's my take -

I love Keisha's blog A Bit East and created this with inspiration from one of her tags - just converted it to Stampin Up products. This tag used Nature Walk, Beau Chateau DSP and First Edition DSP.

The flower is Pink Pirouette punched with the Fancy Flower punch, lightly sprayed with water and scrunched up and left ot dry.

The Star of the Show

This is the weekend for my daughter's last high school musical (and mine too!) So I used my Big Shot to make her a "banner" to hang on her mirror in the dressing room!

I used the Stars #2 die and metal flashing to die cut the stars - and hooked them together with split rings. The letters are die from the white Decor Element sheets. Added ribbon and it's ready to go. Should I just hang it up when she's not looking or tie it onto a bouquet opening night? Enjoy! Hugs, Fran

Polished Best Friends

This card is based on a swap from Lisa Bowell. I changed the stamp set and paper - but kept the layout and colors. I used the Polished Stone technique on the glossy white piece using only Lucky Limeade and Always Artichoke to create the color.
