This card is from the tutorial by Donna Mills at Splitcoast. It's such a beautiful technique that she shared to make the star. As soon as I saw it I thought it would make a wonderful poinsettia - so I made -
Following the same instructions, I brayered my vellum with Real Red Classic ink and attached the frames to the uninked side of the paper. The center circle has Dazzling Diamonds to give some sparkle. The paper is Dashing and the Old Olive Patterns DSP and the ribbon is the 5/8 Old Olive grosgrain. I'm saving this for my mom - who has a December 23rd birthday.
On a side note - thank you for all the nice comments on my stamp room! For those who asked, I'm sorry - there is no pattern for my ink holder. It was made "off the cuff" and without a drawing. You are all invited over to play anytime you want! Enjoy! Hugs, Fran

Fran, these are AMAZING!!!! I have GOT to try this! WOW WOW WOW !!!!! You are somethin' else!!!!

Love this card and your takes on the original! What a creative mind that came up with this!! You're pretty creative yourself to think of making it into a poinsettia. Now I need to get my hands on those punches!
