Clearly Snowflakes
The challenge on Splitcoast today was to create an acetate card. I love these! (But wow - they are hard to photograph!) You can buy acetate at your local office supply store - buy the heavier acetate (mm). Using the Snowflake Spot stamp set, stamp the medium and small snowflakes in White Stazon on the front of the card. Use the hobby blade to cut a slit in the fold and run some white taffeta ribbon around the front of the card. Stamp the large snowflake with Bashful Blue Craft in on Shimmery White card stock. Heat emboss with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. Punch a hole in the center of the snowflake and add a rhinestone brad.
Use the notched corner punch to punch the corners of the Shimmery White card stock and the Bashful card stock. Mount onto the front of the card with Dimensionals. Adhere the Bordering Blue layer on the underside of the card front (with the acetate between the layers) Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere it. Make an inside piece that is the same size as the front piece and layer a piece of Whisper White on top of it. Line it up with the front piece and adhere it to the inside.
Stamp "joy" and a few snowflakes on the inside piece. Enjoy! Hugs, Fran

Your acetate snowflake card is gorgeous! You must have a steadier hand than I. I tried these snowflakes for this technique a while back...and mine looked awful. Love yours, Fran!!
