Variations on a Theme

Today I played with two retiring things - Love Without End stamp set and the Friends Simply Scrappin Kit.  This card is fashioned after a sketch challenge from Beate - http://beate.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/2007/06/01/weekend-sketch-challenge-4/

I used a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 So Saffron card base.  The Chocolate Chip mat is 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 and the Cool Carribean is 5 x 5.  The stripe is 2 1/2 x 5.  I used the paper piercing tool from the Crafters Tool Kit to make the faux sewing in the corners and drew the thread lines with a Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write marker.

The image is stamped on a 3" circle cut with the Coluzzle.  I cut a slightly larger circle in Rose Red and used the slit punch to make the scallop edge.  These are attached with Dimensionals.  A couple other circle punches and it's done.  Here's another using the same papers and the same stamp set -

This one was inspired by Maria - http://stampinupinspirations.blogspot.com/2007/06/blog-candy-submission-15-guest-stamper.html

And yet another inspired by Cambria - http://cambriaturnbow.blogspot.com/2007/05/square-steps-corner-punch-frame.html

Hugs, Fran
