Feel Goods

This is the new Designer Series paper - Gingham Garden.  I have paired it up with the exclusive SU Pop N Cuts base and an insert called 3-D Label.  One of the coolest things about the Pop N Cuts base is that it will all the inserts that Sizzix makes.  This one swings - so your decorations work on the inside and out.  I inked my Feel Goods stamp in Strawberry Slush (because I don't have a marker, yet!) and then colored over some of the words with and Island Indigo marker.

On the little inside label I used Fabulous Phrases to stamp Hi Friend and the small heart punch.  See how my outside is now my inside?

Supplies
Stamp Sets - Feel Goods, Fabulous Phrases
card stock - Gingham Garden DSP, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Strawberry Slush
Ink - Strawberry Slush, Island Indigo, Pear Pizzaz
Etc - SU Pop N Cuts base, small heart punch, Label Window insert and matching framelit, Edge & Scroll die

Tomorrow is my New Catalog Open House!  You will get your new catalog and be able to play with a few new products.

Goodbye Snow Much Fun

This was one of my "go to" Christmas sets so I'm shedding a few tears to see it go.  I took this one to convention last year for swapping.  The little tree is stamped in Stazon and colored with a Pear Pizzaz marker.  The ornaments are then filled with Crystal Effects.

The "brad" on the tag is a circle punch covered with Crystal Effects.  You can imagine the spread as they dried - and I tried to keep my silly cat off of them!

Supplies

Stamp sets - Snow Much Fun, Tiny Tags
card stock - Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Poppy Parade DSP, Pear Pizzazz DSP
Ink - Jet Black Stazon
Stampin Write Markers - Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue
Etc - Crystal Effects, Poppy Parade ribbon, Tiny tag punch

The funny thing about this card is that I grabbed a Pear Pizzaz and a Lucky Limeade marker - and didn't realize it until I was finished coloring.  It worked!  If you're going to start your Christmas cards early, now's the time to shop.  The Holiday mini comes out August 1 - so if you're an early starter, go through the retiring list!   Hugs, Fran

Pop N Cuts Traveller

Graduation?  Retirement?  Study Abroad?  This card has a long history and ended up looking absolutely nothing like the card at the beginning. I really like the Epic Day Designer Series paper and it became the focal point for everything else in the card.  The hexagons on the front were cut with my ecutter because I don't have a hexagon punch - yet! (hint, hint)

And she's off!  She has her bags packed, her maps and passport (yes, that's a passport - or a book to read)  She's mapped out her past or future travels and visited the travel agent. And she's got her camera ready.

The map, Bon Voyage sign, airplane and arrow are from My Digital Studio.  The dots on the map were made with the tiniest circle on the Owl builder punch.

The luggage is all made with the Ticket punch.

The camera is the only thing left from the original card idea!  Ah well!

The travel brochure is also made with the ticket punch.  The map is My Digital Studio.  I decided to let the DSP speak for itself for the bottom of the card.  It was too pretty to cover up.

Where is your Pop N Cuts Dress Form gal headed this summer?

Supplies
Stamp Set - Word Play
card stock - Whisper White, Epic Day DSP, Chocolate Chip DSP, Island Indigo
Ink - Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake
Etc - SU Pop N Cuts base, Dress Form framelit, Ticket punch, 1/4 square punch, Owl punch, 1/4 circle punch, My Digital Studio, Window Framelits

Now back to setting up for my New Catalog open house this Thursday!  I can't believe it's time for unveil the new book!  Come join us   Hugs, Fran

Papillon Washi

This little 3 x 3 shows off the new washi tape - and is in one of my favorite colors combos.  I took a scrap piece of Whisper White and added some Epic Day washi tape then die cut it with a Label Framelit.  The butterfly was stamped in the new Smokey Slate.

The dots were punch with the Owl punch in Strawberry Slush.

Supplies
Stamp Sets - Papillon Potpourri, Teeny Tiny Wishes
card stock - Whisper White, Strawberry Slush
Ink - Basic Gray, Smokey Slate
Etc - Butterfly punch, Owl punch, Label Framelits, Epic Day Washi Tape

3 x 3's are nice to have around to tuck into gifts, lunch bags, under pillows - anywhere you need a little note.  Hugs, Fran

Goodbye Kindness Matters

I almost said "goodbye to kindness" - but that doesn't sound right!  These are some cards I did using Kindness Matters and En Francais.  The butterflies under the sentiment on this one are done in bleach.

On this scaled down version, the butterflies are done using the Illuminate pad.

All the antennas are fishing wire dipped in glue and then Dazzling Details.  Sad to see it go!

Supplies
Stamp Sets - Kindness Matters, En Francais , Netting
Card stock - Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, First Edition DSP, Pink Pirouette
Ink - bleach/illuminate, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Pink Pirouette
Etc - Beautiful Butterflies die, pleated ribbon, Itty Bitty shape punches, circle punch, pearls, fishing line.

So Kindness does matter - even if it's retiring!  Hugs, Fran

Tiny Tag Tree

I have jars and jars of buttons (!) so when I saw this idea of creating a tree with them, I jumped on it!  (And it didn't even leave a dent in my button jars)  I started by making a triangle the size that I wanted for the card and then choosing buttons, pearls and beads to fill it in.  Some of the buttons are various clear buttons from SU that I backed with Comfort Cafe Designer Series and Silver Glimmer paper.  I threaded most of them with linen thread - some are just topped with pearls.

Sometimes I think Stampin Up is looking in my window because as soon as I decided to add the Tiny Tags "Merry", it went on the Retiring List!  (So hurry up and grab it before it's gone!)  The Snowflakes are cut with my Snow Flurry die - which is steel ruled and cuts through the Glimmer paper beautifully.  I added lots of Dazzling Details - sparkle, sparkle!

Supplies
Stamp Set - Tiny Tags
Card stock - Whisper White, Neutral Pack, Soft Suede, Comfort Cafe Designer Series paper, Silver Glimmer paper
Ink - Soft Suede
Etc - BUTTONS!, Snow Flurry die, linen thread, Dazzling Diamonds, glue, pearls, beads

I think there are lots of designs that could be done with buttons - so grab your jars of buttons (please tell me you have them too) and start creating!  Hugs, Fran

Lovely Door

Flowered wreath and a Pool Party - perfect for a bride.  I used the Door Opening and Wreath die to create a wedding card.  The "siding" on my house is created with the Stripe embossing folder and the wreath is the Flower Trim from the mini catalog that has been lightly inked with Pink Pirouette.

Inside is Love & Laughter in Not Quite Navy.

This is just a variation of the same card - with a Pool Party base.

I couldn't decide which way I like the door opening so I tried it both ways.  The cake is stamped inside in Pool Party.

Then I did a Big Shot Fancy Favor box with a door on front  The Floral District Designer Series paper makes it bright and happy.  Perfect for a little gift

I used My Digital Studio to create the inside.

The "roof" is the opening for the box.  Here you can see how I made the wreath 3 layers to add some depth.

I cut out some flowers from the paper and added 2 half circle "thingies" (technical term) that go in a vase to hold flowers.  Surly there is a better word - but I don't know what it is!

Supplies
Stamp Sets - Love & Laughter
Card stock - Pool Party, Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette, Floral District DSP
Ink - Pool Party, Not Quite Navy, Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette
Etc -  Fancy Favor Box, Striped embossing folder, Flower Trim, Door Opening and Wreath die, Scallop Edge punch, tangerine and Pink Pirouette ribbons

Wishing you Love & Laughter today!  Hugs, Fran

Above and Beyond

Secret Garden with some washi tape on the side!  I saw this color combo in Papercrafts and just loved it - so I decided to use it here.  The background uses the new Mosaic Madness embossing folder.  This is such a great folder because the design can be the main focus or a subtle background.

Supplies
Stamp Sets - Secret Garden, One in a Million
card stock - Smokey Slate, Whisper White
Ink - Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Basic Grey
Etc - This and That Epic Day washi tape, Secret Garden framelit. Label framelits, Modern Mosaic embossing folder, 1/2 circle punch, Crystal Effects

Yes, there is Crystal Effects in the center of the flowers - which I then set something on top of not once - but twice!  Sheesh!  I finally decided to just go with it.  Hugs, Fran

Goodbye Letter It

I got a letter from my youngest daughters sorority asking parents to send a box of surprises our students for exam week.  I added this little note pad holder made from a stamp set case.  (And this is the only picture I snapped in my haste to get it finished and out the door!)  The background paper is Tea for Two - but from the MDS version.  I was surprised to discover that in MDS there is a pattern that has different colors!   So I just printed it out and used it.  The letters from Letter It fit perfectly across the top.  I am so sad to see them on the retired list.  They have been my "go to" alphabet for several years.  (Maybe that's why they are on the retired list?)

So I cut the paper to fit the cover of the case - die cut the cute owl again - added the letters and the front was finished.  The inside holders a junior legal pad and an RSVP pen with a little left over paper rolled up inside.  Valerie had left me comment saying there might be a few more "sisters" wanting the magnet board that matches this - she was right!

Supplies
Stamp Set - Letter It
card stock - Whisper White, Tea for Two MDS version
Ink - So Saffron, Bashful Blue
Etc - 1/4 circle punch, Owl die, Clear Stamp Case

It's another rainy day here - sigh.  At least it's a good day to stay inside and stamp   Hugs, Fran

Really Good Greeting Sneak Peek

A sneak peek of a new sentiment - Really Good Greetings - plus some new Designer Series paper and embossing folder.

The layout was inspired by one Julie Salva showed - I changed the colors and added the embossing folder.  To stamp the sentiment in different colors when I don't have the markers (yet!) I inked up the sentiment in Strawberry Slush and then markered over some of the words with Island Indigo.

Supplies
Stamp Set - Really Good Greetings
card stock - Strawberry Slush, Whisper White, Pool Party, Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series paper
Ink - Strawberry Slush, Island Indigo
Etc - Mosaic embossing folder, Vintage Faceted Designer buttons, Pool Party Baker's Twine, Scallop Circle punch, 2 1/2 circle punch, square punch

Lots of fun colors!  Hugs, Fran
